What is a soulwinner?
A soulwinner in Christian terminology is a person who wins souls to the Lord. The soul of man lives forever in Heaven or Hell. The Son of God, the Lord Jesus came from Heaven to earth to save mankind. Then he gave His disciples authority to go into all the world and preach the Gospel in His stead as His ambassadors- soulwinners!
Soulwinners are to preach the Gospel to every creature in every country until the end of this age!
Every Sunday School Christian, teacher, pastor, missionary, evangelist should be a soulwinner! Every part of the local church has one priority- win souls!

Learning how to win souls
Don Giddens first learned of soulwinning in Royal Ambassadors as a child. The first person he tried to win to the Lord was his little brother, who incidentally was riding on the handlebars of Don's bicycle while riding home from the swimming pool.
Giddens was blessed to go to a Bible college that encouraged its students to read the "Sword of the Lord" and win souls each week.
Then a caring pastor (Rev. Jerry Thorpe) showed Giddens how to win souls in El Paso, Texas. We were encouraged by the soulwinning "giants", Dr. Jack Hyles and John R. Rice as well as many others.
Finally, Giddens was blessed to work under the soulwinning pastor, Dr. Bob Gray of Longview, Texas where thousands are led to the Lord each year. He will always thank God for these pastors and their encouragement in the Lord and in the work of winning souls to Jesus.
