About
the Author
Donald Louis Giddens wrote this course to reach the
growing numbers of people world-wide who want to know more about the Jesus depicted
in Mel Gibson's "The Passion of Christ" and "The Jesus
Film".
The Four Gospels are four separate eyewitness
accounts of the pre-existence, birth, life, death, and resurrection, and
ascension of Jesus Christ.
Giddens has combined them into one narrative to
facilitate this study.
What you decide about Jesus can effect your life, family, and nation.
Many who buy this study through the Internet will
live in countries where the teachings of Jesus are discouraged or prohibited.
Maybe you do not even have a Bible available.
This course
is especially for you.
We hope that you investigate the life of Christ with more
intensity than any subject you have ever studied. Read through this
study in your family time. Read the New
Testament through every month for the rest of your life.
Invite your friends and neighbors, reach out to a new
village with The Absolute Certainty Jesus Is the Messiah using the Study Guide .
Don and Minnie Giddens' ministry is in the local
church and Internet Evangelism.
Their
website reaches around the world with the Gospel. This course was developed to
win and disciple them.

The Giddenses are proud of their family of five
daughters and one son, and eleven grandchildren as of 2005
This book is dedicated to them, and son, Charles
Nathan Giddens, who died at the age of 33. He was the first and only person to
call me a "World-wide Missionary".
I especially want to dedicate this book to my
faithful co-missionary, and loving, caring, and praying wife, Minnie.

Introduction
The School of Tyrannus was an open forum in Ephesus
to discuss religions. The Apostle Paul disputed there daily with Jews and
Greeks sharing his faith in Jesus Christ. We desire to present an opportunity
for people of all religions or no religion to study the truths of the Holy
Bible.
Acts 19.9. Paul departed from them, and separated
the disciples, disputing daily in the school of one Tyrannus.
10. And this continued by the space of two
years; so that all they which dwelt in Asia heard the word of the Lord Jesus,
both Jews and Greeks.
Course of study: The Absolute Certainty Jesus Is
the Messiah by Don L. Giddens
Scope: Examine the life of Christ in the light of
the Four Gospels.
Participants: Anyone of any nationality or religion
who wishes to know more about Jesus' teachings and life. Who was this Jesus?
What did He teach?
Purpose of the course: To present evidence proving
Jesus is the Messiah to seekers.
Open course- available to believers and any other
persons interested in knowing more about Jesus.
This
may also be used as a study on the harmony of the Gospels or the Life of
Christ.
It
may be divided into from four to fifty-two lessons.
Opening
Day
Welcome to the Study of the Messiah, Jesus Christ.
People of all religions or no religion are invited
to this school. We insist that each person be treated with equality, respect
and kindness no matter what 1) your name. 2) Your nationality 3) religion or no
religion. Thank you. Agreed?
Each person in the class please tell us the
following about yourself:
Complete these sentences, please.
My name is ____________or I do not wish to disclose
my name.
I am of _________ nationality or I do not care to
disclose my nationality or race.
I am of the___________religion, or I have no
religion, or I am a skeptic, or I do not wish to disclose my religion.
You are welcome here as if you were a juror in a
trial. Your decision is of utmost importance. It will affect you, your life,
your family, and even the course of your nation.
The person on trial here, is JESUS. The evidence is
found in the historical Biblical records, the Holy Bible. The Evangelists
(Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John) prove beyond a shadow of a doubt JESUS is the
MESSIAH, the SON of GOD, and GOD the SON. Let us examine their records
carefully, and prayerfully. If one iota of evidence is proven false, some may
decide they have proven their case that Jesus is not the Christ; however, to
prove He is the CHRIST, every bit of evidence must be concluded true.
The evidence we have, written by the Four
Evangelists, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John between 32 and 96 AD, has not been
contaminated. We will present to you other Scriptures concerning Jesus who is
called the Christ.
You will be allowed to discuss the evidence among
yourselves after class or in groups, as the instructor decides. We ask that you
promise to examine all the evidence fairly.
At any time, you can decide for yourself the
statements of the eyewitnesses are wrong and leave the class if you wish. Some
of you will leave the first lesson. If so, thank you for your interest in
Jesus. I hope that you will search the Holy Bible in the Prophets, Psalms, and
the New Testament for yourself and your family.
If you are
not a believer in Jesus you may decide to reject all the evidence as blasphemy.
We realize that you are not here because you want to become a Christian (if you
are not.)
Our goal is to answer the question of Solomon,
" Who hath ascended up into Heaven, or descended? Who hath
gathered the wind in his fists? Who hath bound the waters in a garment? Who
hath established all the ends of the earth? What is His name, and what is His
Son's name, if thou canst tell?
Proverbs 30.4.
Christians could
call this course "A Harmony of the Gospels", or a study course on the
"Life of Christ" but our objective is to use it to reach out to our
friends and neighbors of any religion or no religion with the Gospel of Jesus
Christ.

1.7. Behold, He cometh with clouds; and
every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of
the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.
8. I
am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and
which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.
AΩ The
Absolute Certainty Jesus Is the Christ is based upon the proofs given in the
eyewitness accounts of the four evangelists in the Four Gospels. We have inserted an AΩ or
Alpha Omega each time there is a
reference to Jesus Christ as the
Messiah or having or exhibiting an attribute of GOD or a Name of GOD- proving
JESUS is GOD!
Some of those attributes
and names in the Gospels are as
follows:
Jesus Christ, Son of God,
Emmanuel, Savior, the Word, the Lamb of God, the Lord our Righteousness, the
Lord, the Lord of glory, King of Kings, and Lord of Lords, Prophet, Priest,
King, His ( Shekinah ) Glory, I AM,
ONE,
The Almighty, King of Israel,
Branch, Rod of Jesse,
Messiah,
the Bread, the Life, the
Water, the Everlasting ONE, the Righteous One, the Just One, The Holy One, Nazarene, Servant,
Governor, forgiver,
foreknowledge, performed miracles, knowledge of God
and God's will, pre-existent, knows people's thoughts, Son of David,
the Door, the Good
Shepherd,
the Soon Returning Son of
man,
answers prayers, knows the
future, knows all about the Kingdom of God,
Heaven, and Eternity.
The Kingdom of God in
Heaven
Only the King would
have known the details Jesus told in the Four Gospels about the Kingdom of God
and/or Heaven.
Verses containing
references to the Kingdom of God are marked with AΩ (Alpha Omega) since His Kingdom is an
everlasting Kingdom on the Throne of David, and the house of Jacob, the seed of
Abraham in Jerusalem, and Heaven.
The scepter of His Kingdom
is righteousness and demands repentance,
and rebirth, by believing the Gospel of Jesus Christ's death, burial,
and resurrection.
The
Purpose of This Book
Luke 1. 4. That thou mightest know the certainty of those
things, wherein thou hast been instructed.
IN
THE BEGINNING
AΩ In the beginning was the Word,[3]
and the Word was with GOD, and the Word was GOD.
The same was in the
beginning with GOD. All things were made by Him; and without Him was
not any thing made that was made. [4]
John 1.1.
AΩ John 1. 14.
And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his
glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and
truth.
Genesis 1. 1. In the beginning GOD created the Heaven and
the earth.
2. Jesus Calls Himself the Almighty
Isaiah 43. 13. Yea, before the day was I am he.

John 8. 58. Jesus said unto them,
Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I AM.[5]

Evidence: Where was JESUS
In the Beginning?
AΩ According
to the Book of John, Jesus was with _ _ _ before the world was made. (We know
John was referring to Jesus as the WORD by John 1.10. He was in the world, and the world was made
by Him, and the world knew him not.)
Who was Jesus in the beginning? The C_ _ _ _ _ R. If
Jesus were the Creator who was He? (Genesis 1.1.) _ _ _. God told Moses to tell
the children of Israel I AM sent him. (Exodus 3.14.) Discuss the significance
of Jesus saying, "Before Abraham was I AM." [6]

Exodus
17.15 has the tetragram Y_H_W_H. No one knows the letters inserted in the

AΩ Revelation 1. 8. I AM Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the
LORD, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the ALMIGHTY.
compared with
Isaiah 44. 6. Thus saith the Lord the King of Israel, and
his redeemer the Lord of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside
me there is no God.
Hebrews 1.1. GOD, who at sundry
times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the
prophets,
Hath in these last days
spoken unto us by his SON, whom He hath appointed heir of all things, by whom
also He made the worlds; 3. Who being the brightness of His glory, and
the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His
power, when He had by Himself purged our sin(s), sat down on the right hand of
the Majesty on high; 4.
Being made so much better than the angels, as He hath by inheritance
obtained a more excellent name than they.
GOD CALLS JESUS HIS SON
5. For unto which of the angels said He at any
time,
AΩ Thou art my SON, this day have I begotten[8]
Thee?
Hebrews 1.5b. And again, I
will be to him a FATHER, and He
shall be to me a SON? 6.
And again, when He bringeth in the first Begotten into the world, He AΩ saith, And let all the angels of GOD worship Him.
7. And of the angels He saith,
Who maketh His angels spirits, and His ministers a flame of fire.
GOD CALLS JESUS, GOD!
AΩ Hebrews 1.8. But unto the SON
He saith, Thy throne, O GOD, is
for ever and ever: a sceptre[9]
of righteousness is the sceptre of Thy Kingdom.
In English,
we have Jehovah, so the name will be pronounceable to us. Psalm 68.4 has the
name, JAH. Some pronounce it "Jahweh", but they are no closer than
any other pronunciation. No one knows!
AΩ Isaiah 44. 6. Thus saith the Lord the King of Israel, and his Redeemer the Lord
of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God.
Jesus said in Revelation 1. 8. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the
ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the
Almighty.
AΩ Therefore, Jesus is G _ _.
The Holy Spirit[10]-
inspired writer of Hebrews chapter five makes some startling statements about
Jesus-
Hebrews 1.5 God calls Jesus His S _ _.
In Hebrews
1.8 God calls Jesus, G _ _.
In Hebrews 1.10 God calls Jesus,
L _ _ _ .
According to these Scriptures and others J_ _ _ _ _
is G _ _.
The purpose of the Evangelists is to prove just
that! Read Luke 1.4 .[11]
Hebrews 1.9. Thou that hast loved righteousness, and hated
iniquity; therefore GOD,
even thy GOD,
hath anointed Thee with the oil of gladness above Thy fellows.
GOD CALLS JESUS, LORD!
AΩ Hebrews 1.10. And, Thou, LORD,
in the beginning hast laid the foundation
of the earth; and the
Heavens are the works of Thine hands.
We must consider 1

The M _ _ _ _ _ _.
First, read lesson one, and see if the Scriptures
document the facts about Jesus in the beginning. Some will quote
Colossians 1.15[20]
that Jesus was begotten of God. Thus, they teach God created Jesus. However,
Paul, through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, records in Acts 13.33, 34,
that this verse referring to Psalm 16.10 "Thou art my Son, this day have I
begotten thee" is speaking of the resurrection of Christ!
Also, if you
wish to review His genealogies. The "begats" start in Genesis 5.4 and
will never be boring again if you add them up to discover the approximate dates
of births.
By historical evidence, the approximate date of
Jesus' birth, known dates of other historical figures, adding up the begats,
and averaging the missing genealogies you discover The Flood was
approximately_________B. C. (Our answer is in the book, but if you do not have
it handy, the answer is 2348 BC).
Methuselah died that year at the age of 969.

they perceived that he had seen a vision in the temple: for he beckoned unto

his saying, and cast in her mind what manner of salutation this should be. 30.
And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour

Ask If John the Baptist Were the CHRIST
John 1.19. And this is the record of John, when the
Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to ask him, Who art thou?
Luke 3. 15. (the people
were in expectation, and all men mused in their hearts of John, whether he were
the CHRIST, or not)...
John 1.20. he confessed, and denied not; but
confessed, I am not the CHRIST.
21. And they asked him, What
then? Art thou Elias? And he saith, I am not. Art thou that Prophet? And he
answered, No. 22. Then said they unto him, Who art thou? that
we may give an answer to them that sent us. What sayest thou of thyself?
23. He said, I am the voice of one
crying in the wilderness, Make straight the way of the LORD, as said the
prophet Esaias.
John 1.24. And they which were sent were of the Pharisees. 25.
And they asked him, and said unto him, Why baptizest thou then, if thou
be not that CHRIST, nor Elias, neither that prophet?
Luke 3. 16. John answered, saying unto them all, I
indeed baptize you with water (unto repentance)[69];
but One mightier than I cometh, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to
(stoop down[70] )
to unloose: (I indeed have baptized you with water). [71]He
shall baptize you with the HOLY GHOST and with fire: 17. Whose fan is in His
hand, and He will throughly purge his floor, and will gather the wheat into His
garner; but the chaff He will burn with fire unquenchable. 18.
And many other things in his exhortation preached he unto the people.

The Beginning of the Ministry of JESUS
Wilderness
ca 27 A. D.
Driven or Led by the
Spirit into the Wilderness
Luke 4. 1.
And JESUS being full of the HOLY GHOST returned from Jordan, and was led
by the SPIRIT…
Mark 1.12. And immediately the SPIRIT driveth him into
the wilderness.
Mark 1.12b (JESUS) was
there in the wilderness forty days, tempted of (the Devil)[78]
Satan, and was with the wild beasts…
Luke 4.2 And in those days
He did eat nothing: and when they were ended, He afterward hungered. 3.
And the devil said unto him, If thou be the SON of GOD, command this stone
that it be made bread. 4. And JESUS answered him, saying, It is
written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of GOD.
5. And the devil, taking
him up into an high mountain, shewed unto him all the kingdoms of the world in
a moment of time. 6. And the devil said unto him, All this power
will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to
whomsoever I will I give it. 7. If thou therefore wilt worship me, all shall
be thine.
8. And JESUS answered and
said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship
the LORD thy GOD, and him only shalt thou serve.
9. And he brought him to
Jerusalem, and set him on a pinnacle of the temple, and said unto him, If thou
be the SON of GOD, cast thyself down from hence: 10. For it is written, He
shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee:
11. And in their hands they shall bear thee up,
lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.
12. And JESUS answering
said unto him, It is said, Thou shalt not tempt the LORD thy GOD. And when the
devil had ended all the temptation, he departed from him for a season.
Ministering Angels
Mark 1.12c and the angels ministered unto him.
After the Victory
Luke 4.13 And JESUS
returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee: and there went out a fame of
him through all the region round about.
15. And He taught in their
synagogues, being glorified of all.
AΩ Evidence: The Temptation
Hebrews 4. 15.
For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling
of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without
sin.
Satan uses Scripture to tempt JESUS, the same way he
does us. Thus, Satan puts "poison in the soup." Truth mixed with
error is error every time. CHRIST did not cave into Satan's temptation to PROVE
to Satan HE was GOD. JESUS does not prove anything to those who refuse to
believe. Hearing must be mixed with faith. One can choose to believe or not
thus determining his Eternal destiny. Choose to believe.
JESUS Calls His First Disciples
John 1.35. Again the next
day after John stood, and two of his disciples;
36. And looking upon JESUS as He walked, he saith, Behold
the Lamb of GOD!
37. And the two disciples
heard him speak, and they followed
JESUS.
38. Then JESUS turned, and
saw them following, and saith unto them, What seek ye? They said unto him,
Rabbi, (which is to say, being interpreted, Master,) where dwellest thou? 39.
He saith unto them, Come and see. They came
and saw where He dwelt,
and abode with him that day: for it was about the tenth hour. 40.
One of the two which heard John speak, and followed him, was Andrew,
Simon Peter's brother.
Andrew Confesses Christ

John 1.41. He first findeth his own

interpreted, the CHRIST. 42. And he brought him to JESUS.
And when JESUS beheld him,
he said, Thou art Simon the son of Jona: thou shalt be called Cephas, which is
by interpretation, A stone.
43. The day following
JESUS would go forth into Galilee, and findeth Philip, and saith unto him,
Follow me.
44. Now Philip was of
Bethsaida, the city of Andrew and Peter.
45. Philip findeth Nathanael,
and saith unto him, We have found him, of whom Moses in the law, and the
prophets, did write, JESUS of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.
46. And Nathanael said
unto him, Can there any good thing come out of Nazareth? Philip saith unto him,
Come and see.
47. JESUS saw Nathanael
coming to him, and saith of him, Behold an Israelite indeed, in whom is no
guile!
John 1.48. Nathanael saith
unto him, Whence knowest thou me?
JESUS answered and said

First Miracle: Changing the Water into
Wine
Cana
of Galilee, ca 27 A. D.
John 2. 1.
And the third day there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee; and the
mother of JESUS was there: 2. And both JESUS was called, and his
disciples, to the marriage.
3. And when they wanted wine, the mother of JESUS saith unto him,
They have no wine. 4. JESUS saith unto her, Woman, what have I to
do with thee? mine hour is not yet come.
5. His mother saith unto the
servants, Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it.
6. And there were set there six
waterpots of stone, after the manner of the purifying of the Jews, containing
two or three firkins apiece. 7. JESUS saith unto them, Fill the waterpots
with water. And they filled them up to the brim. 8. And He saith unto
them, Draw out now, and bear unto the governor of the feast. And they bare
it. 9.
When the ruler of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and
knew not whence it was: (but the servants which drew the water knew;) the
governor of the feast called the bridegroom,
10. And saith unto him, Every
man at the beginning doth set forth good wine; and when men have well drunk,
then that which is worse: but thou hast kept the good wine until now. AΩ

First Cleanses the Temple and Calling It His

Jerusalem ca 27 A. D. Psalm 69. 9
John 2.13. And the Jews' Passover was at hand, and
JESUS went up to Jerusalem. 14. And found in the temple those that sold oxen
and sheep and doves, and the changers of money sitting:
AΩ
15. And when He had made a scourge of
small cords, He drove them all out of the temple, and the sheep, and the oxen;
and poured out the changers' money, and overthrew the tables; 16.
And said unto them that sold doves, Take these things hence; make not my
FATHER'S house an house of merchandise.
AΩ
17. And his disciples remembered that
it was written, The zeal of thine house hath eaten me up.
18. Then answered the Jews
and said unto him, What sign shewest thou unto us seeing that thou doest these
things?
AΩ
19. JESUS answered and said unto them,
Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.
20. Then said the Jews,
Forty and six years was this temple in building, and wilt thou rear it up in
three days?
21. But He spake of the
temple of his body. 22. When therefore He was risen from the dead,
his disciples remembered that He had said this unto them; and they believed the
Scripture, and the word which JESUS had said.

John 3. 1.
There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the

8. The wind bloweth where it

John 3.10. JESUS answered
and said unto him, Art thou a master of Israel, and knowest not these things?
11. Verily, verily, I say

believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of Heavenly things? AΩ
13. And no man hath ascended up to
Heaven, but he that came down from Heaven, even the SON of man which is in Heaven. 14.
And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the
SON of man be lifted up: 15. That whosoever believeth in him should not
perish, but have eternal life. AΩ
16. For GOD so loved the world, that he
gave his
only begotten SON, that whosoever believeth in him should
not perish, but have everlasting life.
17. For GOD sent not his SON
into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be
saved. 18. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth
not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only
begotten SON of GOD.
19. And this is the
condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather
than light, because their deeds were evil.
20. For every one that doeth
evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be
reproved.
JESUS
Agrees with Nicodemus' First Premise
John 3.21. But he that
doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they
are wrought in GOD.
AΩ Evidence: The New Birth
The best definition of how to be born again is 1
John 5.1 Whosoever believeth that Jesus
is the Christ is born of God:

the MESSIAH who died for our sins, and the sins of the whole world, that person
has been born again, born from above, born into the Kingdom of GOD, and is a
citizen of Heaven.

JESUS’ Co-ministry with John the
Baptist
John 3. 22. After these
things came JESUS and his disciples into the land of Judaea; and there He
tarried with them, and baptized. 23.
And John also was baptizing in Aenon near to Salim, because there was
much water there: and they came, and were baptized. 24. For John was not yet
cast into prison.
25. Then there arose a
question between some of John's disciples and the Jews about purifying.
26. And they came unto
John, and said unto him, Rabbi, he that was with thee beyond Jordan, to whom
thou barest witness, behold, the same baptizeth, and all men come to him.
27. John answered and
said, A man can receive nothing, except it be given him from Heaven. 28. Ye yourselves bear me witness, that I said,
I am not the CHRIST, but that I am sent before him.
29. He that hath the bride
is the Bridegroom: but the friend of the Bridegroom, which standeth and heareth
him, rejoiceth greatly because of the bridegroom's voice: this my joy therefore
is fulfilled. 30. He must increase, but I must decrease.
AΩ
31. He that cometh from above is above
all: he that is of the earth is earthly, and speaketh of the earth: he that
cometh from Heaven is above all.
John 3.32. And what he
hath seen and heard, that he testifieth; and no man receiveth his
testimony. 33. He that hath received his testimony hath set
to his seal that GOD is true. AΩ
34. For he whom GOD hath sent speaketh

35. The FATHER loveth the SON, and hath

Samaritan Woman Believes on CHRIST
Jacob’s
Well in Samaria 27 A. D.
John 4. 1.
When therefore the LORD knew how the Pharisees had heard that JESUS made
and baptized more disciples than John,
2. (Though JESUS himself
baptized not, but his disciples,)
3. He left Judaea, and departed
again into Galilee. 4. And He must needs go through Samaria. 5.
Then cometh He to a city of Samaria, which is called Sychar, near to the
parcel of ground that Jacob gave to his son, Joseph. 6. Now Jacob's well was
there. JESUS therefore, being wearied with his journey, sat thus on the well:
and it was about the sixth hour.
7. There cometh a woman of
Samaria to draw water: JESUS saith unto her, Give me to drink. 8.
(For his disciples were gone away unto the city to buy meat.) 9.
Then saith the woman of Samaria unto him, How is it that thou, being a
Jew, askest drink of me, which am a woman of Samaria? for the Jews have no
dealings with the Samaritans. 10. JESUS answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the AΩ gift

drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and He would have given thee AΩ
living water.
11. The woman saith unto
him, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: from whence
then hast thou that living water?
12. Art thou greater than our

17. The woman answered and
said, I have no husband. JESUS said unto her, Thou hast well said, I have no

18. For thou hast had five
husbands; and he whom thou now hast is not thy husband: in that saidst thou
truly.
19. The woman saith unto
him, Sir, I perceive that thou art a prophet.
20. Our fathers worshiped

21. JESUS saith unto her, Woman,

Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is
of the
Jews.
23. But the hour cometh, and now is, when the
true worshippers shall worship the FATHER in SPIRIT and in truth: for the
FATHER seeketh such to worship him. AΩ
24. GOD is a SPIRIT: and they that
worship Him must worship Him in SPIRIT and in truth.
John 4.25. The woman saith
unto him, I know that MESSIAS
cometh, which is called CHRIST: when He is come, He will tell us all things.
AΩ
26. JESUS saith unto her, I that speak
unto thee AM HE.
27. And upon this came his
disciples, and marvelled that He talked with the woman: yet no man said, What
seekest thou? or, Why talkest thou with her?
28. The woman then left
her waterpot, and went her way into the city, and saith to the men,
AΩ
29. Come, see a man, which told me all
things that ever I did: is not this the CHRIST?
Then they went out of the
city, and came unto him.
31. In the mean while his
disciples prayed him, saying, Master, eat.
32. But he said unto them,
I have meat to eat that ye know not of.
John 4.33. Therefore said
the disciples one to another, Hath any man brought him ought to eat?
34. JESUS saith unto them,
My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work.
35. Say not ye, There are
yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your
eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest. 36.
And he that reapeth receiveth wages, and gathereth fruit unto life
eternal: that both he that soweth and he that reapeth may rejoice
together. 37. And herein is that saying true, One soweth, and another
reapeth. 38. I sent you to reap that whereon ye bestowed no labour: other men
laboured, and ye are entered into their labours.
39. And many of the
Samaritans of that city believed on him for the saying of the
woman, which testified, He
told me all that ever I did. 40. So when the Samaritans were come unto him,
they besought him that he would tarry with them: and He abode there two days. 41.
And many more believed because of his own word;

AΩ Evidence:
The Samaritans Believe
The Samaritan woman believed JESUS was the MESSIAH
because she said, John 4.29. Come, see
a man, which told me all things that ever I did: is not this the Christ?
Several times in the New Testament it is said of
JESUS that HE knew their thoughts. If you talked to a stranger, even a
foreigner, who knew your every thought, and your past, would you not come to
the same conclusion after you heard what He said about Himself. The fact that
Jesus, a Jew, was even talking to a Samaritan[82]
was reason for her to pay attention to what He said.
Other Samaritans also believed in JESUS, not because
of what she said, but because of what HE said.
What did He say that convinced them?

him for Herodias his brother Philip’s wife, and for all the evils which Herod

Matthew 14. 1.
At that time Herod the tetrarch heard of the fame of JESUS,
2. And said unto his
servants, This is John the Baptist; he is risen from the dead; and therefore
mighty works do shew forth themselves in him.
3. For Herod had laid hold on
John, and bound him, and put him in prison for Herodias' sake, his brother
Philip's wife. 4. For John said unto him, It is not lawful for
thee to have her.
5. And when he would have
put him to death, he feared the multitude, because they counted him as a
prophet.
6. But when Herod's
birthday was kept, the daughter of Herodias danced before them, and pleased
Herod.
7. Whereupon he promised with an oath to give
her whatsoever she would ask. 8. And she, being before instructed of her
mother, said, Give me here John Baptist's head in a charger.
9. And the king was sorry:
nevertheless for the oath's sake, and them which sat with him at meat, he
commanded it to be given her. 10. And he sent, and beheaded John in the prison.
11. And his head was
brought in a charger, and given to the damsel: and she brought it to her
mother.
12. And his disciples
came, and took up the body, and buried it, and went and told JESUS. When JESUS
heard of it, He departed thence by ship into a desert place apart: and when the
people had heard thereof, they followed him on foot out of the cities.

John 4.46 JESUS came again into Cana of Galilee, where
He made the water wine. And there was a certain nobleman, whose son was sick at
Capernaum. 47. When he heard that JESUS was come out of
Judaea into Galilee, he went unto him, and besought him that He would come
down, and heal his son: for he was at the point of death.
48. Then said JESUS unto
him, Except ye see signs and wonders, ye will not believe.
49. The nobleman saith
unto him, Sir, come down ere my child die.
AΩ
50. JESUS saith unto him, Go thy way;
thy son liveth. And the man believed the word that JESUS had spoken unto him,
and he went his way.
51. And as he was now
going down, his servants met him, and told him, saying, Thy son liveth.
52. Then inquired he of
them the hour when he began to amend. And they said unto him, Yesterday at the
seventh hour the fever left him.
53. So the father knew that it
was at the same hour, in the which JESUS said unto him, Thy son liveth: and
himself believed, and his whole house.
This is again the second
miracle that JESUS did,
when He was come out of
Judaea into Galilee.
AΩ
Evidence: The Nobleman's Son
This was the JESUS'
second miracle, the first being changing the water into wine.[84]
JESUS healed the
nobleman's son who was at the point of death. To confirm that fact the nobleman
checked out when his son recovered, and it was the time JESUS said, "Thy
son liveth."
You may discover
for yourself that GOD answers prayer, and heals people when you pray believing.
We do not believe in so-called "faith-healers" but we do believe in a
healing GOD. Today, when anyone is sick they are to call the elders who are to
pray over them. Surely they should go to the doctor, and take the prescribed
medicine, but they should also have the elders pray for them. James 5.14.
Have you had God
answer your prayer by healing one of your children?
Of course you have.
Jesus Reads Messianic Scriptures and Is
Rejected at Nazareth (Luke 4:16-30)
Luke 4. 16. And He came to Nazareth, where He had been
brought up: and, as his custom was, He went into the synagogue on the Sabbath
day, and stood up for to read. 17. And there was delivered unto him the book of
the prophet Esaias. And when He had opened the book, He found the place where
it was written,
18. The SPIRIT of the LORD
is upon me, because He hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; He
hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives,
and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are
bruised, 19. To preach the acceptable year of the LORD.[85]
20. And He closed the
book, and He gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all
them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him. AΩ
21. And He began to say unto them, This
day is this Scripture fulfilled in your ears. 22. And all bare him
witness, and wondered at the gracious words which proceeded out of his mouth.
And they said, Is not this Joseph's son?
23. And He said unto them,
Ye will surely say unto me this proverb, Physician, heal thyself: whatsoever we
have heard done in Capernaum, do also here in thy country. 24.
And He said, Verily I say unto you, No prophet is accepted in his own
country.

25. But I tell you of a truth, many
widows were in Israel in the days of Elias, when the Heaven was shut up three
years and six months, when great famine was throughout all the land;
26. But unto none of them
was Elias sent, save unto Sarepta, a city of Sidon, unto a woman that was a
widow.
27. And many lepers were
in Israel in the time of Eliseus the prophet; and none of them was cleansed,
saving Naaman the Syrian. 28. And all they in the synagogue, when they
heard these things, were filled with wrath,
29. And rose up, and
thrust him out of the city, and led him unto the brow of the hill whereon their
city was built, that they might cast him down headlong.

Isaiah 61.
Read Isaiah
61 and Luke 4.16f.
Think about that. Read Isaiah 61.10 and consider
this verse- 2 Corinthians 5. 21. For He
hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the
righteousness of God in him.
We are clothed in His righteousness, and as David
said, we will go in the strength of the LORD GOD: we will make mention of His
righteousness, of His only. Psalm 71.16.
David
spoke clearly of the death of
CHRIST in Psalms 21, 22, and 23.
Psalm 72. 17.
His name shall endure for ever: his name shall be continued as long as
the sun: and men shall be blessed in him: all nations shall call him blessed.
18. Blessed be the Lord God, the God of Israel,
who only doeth wondrous things.
19. And blessed be his glorious
name[86]
for ever: and let the whole earth be filled with his glory; Amen, and Amen.
Matthew 4. 13. And leaving Nazareth, He came and dwelt in
Capernaum, which is upon the sea coast, in the borders of Zabulon and
Nephthalim:
14. That it might be
fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying,

15. The land of Zabulon, and the land
of Nephthalim, by the way of the sea, beyond Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles;
Matthew 4.16. The people
which sat in darkness saw great light; and to them which sat in the region and
shadow of death light is sprung up.

to preach, and to

Sea
of Galilee 27 A. D.
Luke 5. 1. And it came to pass, that, as the people
pressed upon him to hear the word of GOD, He stood by the lake of Gennesaret
(Sea of Galilee).[87]
Luke 5. 2. And saw two ships standing by the lake: but
the fishermen were gone out of them, and were washing their nets.
Matthew 4. 18. And JESUS, walking by the sea of Galilee,
saw two brethren, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net
into the sea: for they were fishers.[88]
19. And He saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you
(to become)[89]fishers of men.
Miraculous
Following
Matthew 4.20. And they straightway left their nets, and
followed him. 21. And going on from thence, He saw other two
brethren, James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, in a ship with
Zebedee their father, mending their nets[90];
and He called them. 22. And they immediately left the ship and their
father, and followed him.
AΩ Evidence: Fishers of Men
Is not one of the
biggest miracles, that men would immediately reject their former life, and
leaving all follow JESUS? JESUS said, Luke 14.26. If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and
wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he
cannot be my disciple. 33. So likewise,
whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be my
disciple."
What would you do if JESUS said to you today,
"Come after me, and I will make you a fisher of men?"
What would it cost
you? Would it be worth it?

Mark 1.26. And when the
unclean spirit had torn him, (and thrown him
in their midst) and cried with a
loud voice, he came out of him.
27. And they were all amazed,
insomuch that they questioned among themselves, saying, What thing is this?
what new doctrine is this? for with authority commandeth He even the unclean
spirits, and they do obey him. And immediately his fame spread abroad
throughout all the region round about Galilee.

the leprosy departed from him, and he was cleansed. 43. And He straitly

And, behold, (four)[112]

not find by what way they might bring him in because of the multitude, they
went upon the housetop, (and uncovered the roof where He was) [115](and
when they had broken it up) [116]and
let him down through the tiling with his (bed) [117]couch
into the midst before JESUS.
AΩ Evidence: The Galilean Tour
JESUS went on this first Galilean tour
preaching,
praying and healing.
Consider the healing of the leper. JESUS touched a
leper, and healed him instantly. Both were miracles. Would GOD not reach down,
touch, and heal us no matter what our problem might be?
CHRIST not only died for our sins. He also died for
our sicknesses (Isaiah 53.5) and our sorrows (Isaiah 53.4).
What a Saviour!

My
Personal Notes
What did we learn
about Jesus today?
JESUS FORGIVES SIN! ONLY GOD CAN FORGIVE SIN
Numbers 14. 20.
And the Lord said, I have pardoned according to thy word:
AΩ Luke
5.20. And when He saw their faith, He
said unto him, Man, (son) [119]
thy sins are forgiven thee.[120]
21. And the scribes and
the Pharisees began to reason,[121]
saying, Who is this which speaketh blasphemies?[122]
Who can forgive sins, but GOD alone?
AΩ
22. But (immediately) [123]when
JESUS perceived (in His SPIRIT) [124]their
thoughts, He answering said unto them, What reason ye in your hearts?
(wherefore think ye evil in your hearts [125]?)
23. Whether is easier, to
say, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Rise up (take up thy bed) [126]and
walk?
Proof of His Power to
Forgive Sins
AΩ
Luke 5. 24. But that ye may know that
the SON of man hath power upon earth to forgive sins, (He said unto the sick of
the palsy,) I say unto thee, Arise, and take up thy (bed) [127]couch,
and go into thine house.[128]
AΩ
25. And immediately he rose up before
them, and took up that whereon he lay, and departed to his own house,
glorifying GOD.
26. And they were all
amazed, and they glorified GOD, (which had given such power unto men) [129]and
were filled with fear, saying, We have seen strange things to day.
Mark 2.12 We never saw it
on this fashion.

AΩ Forgiveness or Blasphemy?
Is it not true that only GOD can forgive sins?
To His hearers, JESUS was saying, "I wash away all your sins; I cover
them with my blood sacrifice and they are forgiven." They knew that
without the shedding of blood there was no remission or forgiveness. Hebrews
9.22. See Leviticus 4.20 the Atonement.
Ephesians 1. 7.
In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins,
according to the riches of his grace.
Thus, we are
accepted in the Beloved.
May I say here, that if we are perfectly forgiven,
then we are declared perfect in Him! We are perfected forever according to
Hebrews 10.14. We are perfectly forgiven and He will never remember our sins
anymore.
AΩ
Hebrews 10. 17. And their sins and
iniquities will I remember no more.
AΩ
Micah 7. 19. He will turn again, he
will have compassion upon us; he will subdue our iniquities; and thou wilt cast
all their sins into the depths of the sea.
AΩ
JESUS said in Matthew 26. 28. For this
is my blood of the New Testament, which is shed for many for the remission of
sins.
What a Saviour! JESUS was the Lamb of GOD that takes
away the sin of the world.
